Companies and organizations today employ young people who not only have a business and economic education, but also have a sound knowledge of languages, a sense for different business cultures and national institutions and are familiar with questions of internationalization. All these aspects are combined in the International Business Studies (IBS) program. In addition to your economic knowledge, you will also receive training in two foreign languages.
The first two semesters of the standard period of study form the Assessment-phase, which consists of a combination of modules that are largely prescribed and obligatory to complete. Only in the foreign languages is there a choice between French and Spanish in addition to English. The aim of the assessment phase is to learn the necessary basic knowledge on which the selectable modules of the profiling phase are based. As a student, you will be accompanied through our peer mentoring program during your assessment phase. You will also receive support in designing your individual curriculum and the profiling phase will enable you to design your studies individually. Here you can choose certain subjects in business administration, economics and methods according to your own interests, thus setting priorities and developing your own profile. You will also study your core subject, International Business, and deepen your skills in the languages you choose.
