The content of this course is divided into three areas: System Cell, System Organism and Ecosystem
The four-semester study period is divided into a theoretical and a practical phase. After a short orientation in the first semester, an individual specialization takes place in the second semester, which is concluded by a long practical phase. It is completely up to the students in which or how many of the above-mentioned areas they specialize. The practical phase is intended to ensure that the students gain a good insight into the professional world on the one hand and get to know project-oriented work on the other.
Students can choose from a variety of newly designed courses and complete their internships in modern, newly equipped internship and research laboratories.
The aim of the training is to qualify students to plan and carry out experiments independently, to assess the significance of different methods for their own questions, to familiarize themselves with new methods and subject areas independently, to apply and transfer existing knowledge and to formulate project goals independently. Graduates are thus just as well prepared for a possible entry into a doctorate as they are for professional life.
