This Master’s program is an independent part of the consecutive Energy Science program (4 years Bachelor’s program and 1 year Master’s program). It leads to the scientific completion of the course of studies. It prepares students for the development and assessment of concepts for the energy supply of high-tech societies.
In the Master’s program Energy Science the students acquire the necessary professional and interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and methods, taking into account the changes and requirements in the professional world, which enable them to work independently, reflect critically on scientific findings and act responsibly.
In particular, the course imparts interdisciplinary knowledge on energy issues (scientific fundamentals, technical provision, aspects of environmental compatibility, economic efficiency and sustainability). This is anchored above all in sound knowledge of experimental and theoretical physics.
