One of the five specializations must be chosen from the outset:
- Automation technology
- Electrical power engineering
- Computer engineering
- Microelectronics and optoelectronics
The mandatory modules can be selected form different areas. On the one hand, students can choose courses from a catalogue, which also includes courses from modules of the respective other specialization. On the other hand, two technical electives are freely selectable from the courses offered by the participating teaching units Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Chemistry. On the other hand, non-technical optional subjects can be selected from a catalogue (with specifications) in the Non-technical area module.
The Master’s program deepens the qualifications acquired in the Bachelor’s program. It imparts skills for systematic scientific work, in which scientific methods are applied to complex problems, analyzed and further developed. Depending on the specialization, an exemplary focus is placed on one of the application areas.
