Mechanical engineering and mechatronics are cross-sectional disciplines for which students are prepared by interdisciplinary courses. This is because it is not just a matter of manufacturing efficient products of high quality, but of constantly making new contributions to solving urgent tasks in business and society.
The Bachelor of Science degree opens the way to a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a corresponding final grade. In the Bachelor’s degree program, emphasis is placed on training in basic scientific subjects in combination with basic engineering and subject-specific knowledge.
The aim of the course is to acquire specialist knowledge and skills that guarantee problem-oriented work and enable lifelong further qualification. This enables graduates to carry out tasks in mechanical engineering and plant construction largely independently of a specific sector and, as generalists, to find their way around with the necessary overview knowledge. The are 3 specializations:
- general mechanical engineering
