The subject of business administration is the description, explanation and support of decision-making processes in companies. Business administration includes production management, materials management and logistics, sales management (marketing), corporate accounting, investment and financing accounting, and corporate management as so-called functional teachings. The aim of the Bachelor’s program in Business Administration is to train responsible women and men with management competence who are able to think in larger contexts and transfer scientific concepts to concrete areas of application.
The compulsory economic program consists of a basic module with two introductory courses, six business management and two economic core modules as well as three in-depth modules. Mathematics, statistics and business informatics are among the core subjects that are not purely economics. In addition, students attend a seminar and acquire knowledge in business English and law. In addition to the compulsory program described above, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of content and methodology in three optional compulsory modules. An internship module, which includes an eight-week internship and a business simulation game, and the bachelor thesis complete the course of study.
