The course Bachelor of Science in Biology lasts six semesters and ends with the completion of the Bachelor’s thesis. the Bachelor’s degree is the first degree that qualifies you for a profession.
In the first four semesters of the Bachelor’s program you will receive a comprehensive overview of the basics of biology (zoology and cell biology, botany and biodiversity, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics as well as cell, animal and plant physiology). In addition to technical training, in-depth, interdisciplinary and professionally qualified courses are offered within the framework of the BioPlus program. Modules can be selected from four different areas: Soft skills of science, specialization, practice, languages. The program concludes with an experimental bachelor thesis, which is awarded with credit points (CP) according to the expected workload required for the individual courses or examinations.
