The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. The subject of the six-semester Bachelor’s program is civil engineering with all its specialist areas. They must complete basic courses in mathematics, mechanics, computer science, environmental technology and ecology and surveying. In addition, there are modules on the fundamentals of civil engineering subjects:
- Building materials technology
- Building physics and building constructions
- Static and structural mechanics
- Reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete construction
- Steel and timber construction
- Building operations and building process engineering
- Water engineering
The modules mentioned above belong to the compulsory courses with which a total of 170 CPs are achieved in the course of the Bachelor’s program. The course is completed with a three-month bachelor thesis. The bachelor thesis (12 CPs) is intended to show that it is possible to work on a civil engineering problem using scientific methods within a specified period of time. The bachelor thesis can be theoretical, practical, constructive or organizational.
